The Sun newspaper's Military Awards
BAE Systems is proud to congratulate all the nominees and winners of The Sun Military Awards or 'Millies'. The winners were announced at a star-studded event at the Imperial War Museum on Tuesday, 15 December.
This is the second year that the company has supported The Millies which were founded by HRH The Prince of Wales in 2008 to recognise the sacrifices and bravery of the men and women in the UK's armed forces.
BAE Systems sponsored the 'Support for the Armed Forces' category which was won by the town of Wootton Basset in Wiltshire whose residents show their respect to every fallen member of the UK's armed forces.
HRH Prince William who presented the award to the town's mayor, Steve Bucknell said: "One of the most remarkable things is that the people are so modest, they refuse to accept any praise."
