The Sun newspaper's Military Awards
BAE Systems is proud to announce its support for The Sun's Military Awards for the next three years.
The Awards otherwise known as 'The Millies', were founded in 2008 and celebrate the achievements of the UK's armed forces. The Millies are open to all serving military personnel with awards given in 10 categories including 'overcoming adversity', 'true grit' and 'best unit'. A televised awards ceremony to honour the winners will be held in December 2010.
As one of the major equipment suppliers to the UK’s armed forces, BAE Systems is committed to supporting the armed forces and their families through its Charity Challenge employee fundraising scheme, charitable donations and the sponsorship of events. The Company gives more than £1.5 million per year through these activities.
